Peter Bemis
Executive Vice-President
I have known Ron Mathos for over 4 years when he was our strategic account manager for DuPont. As an account manager, Ron brought many innovative concepts to us for new business opportunities. He was also extremely knowledgeable and well connected to the technologists within their organization—which is a critical connection in our technology-driven business.
Ron was also very much in tune with strategic activities taking place at DuPont, but also many OEM’s, our customers. I would characterize Ron as a “visionary thinker” and “transformational leader” who drove us to develop strategies that were mutually beneficial to our respective companies. Ron leads in a way that brings us new mindsets, skills and results. He has led DuPont to catch our 25-year strategic supplier, General Electric, on our supplier team.
I think Ron would be an excellent candidate for positions that require “out of the box” thinking, with a management style that enables strong performance improvement within his firm and that of his clients. Although his knowledge of polymers and the plastics industry is broad and certainly of value, his strategic thinking and methodology could apply to many industries. His tenacity and quest to learn would be a great asset to any organization. Ron’s approach to leadership is to improve the health of the businesses he touches in a way that is lasting. He is one of the best leaders I have worked with.
